In case any of the readers aren’t familiar with the phrase, it’s “Out of the frying pan, into the fire.”
I was happy with how the first panel came out, especially since it gives you a better sense of how imposing Achilles is supposed to be. I didn’t think it was as clear when the Henchmen found him in the secret lab.
I’m hoping that I haven’t been too subtle with the purple coloring that Matthew has begun to acquire as his newfound ability appears. He’s not going to be all purple like Bruiser, but I wanted it to show that he’s starting a change.
Since the next post is coming up after the holiday, I’d like to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
You know, Matthew’s father is coming off as being a bit of a thug here, especially in the way he treats Matthew and his wife. The boy’s been through a lot just now and he just barks an order at him and drugs him?!? What a jerk!
Of course, he’s having a REALLY bad day too….
Intersting, Techsuport is a real jerk then he is under pressure, nice to see a hero act inappropriately to his friends, that make them humans and not saint. But I realy hope that Techsuport normal personality is a nice one, and he treats his family and android? with love and respect.
Maybe this was the reson Techsuport quit the Hero business. During heavy pressure he become a jerk.
Odd observation here but didn’t Tek Support have a completely crippled arm complete with the whole “hanging limply” bit after he got one of Shimmer’s blades through his shoulder?
It’s another reason he’s having a bad day and isn’t in too good a mood.
I think TKG meant “hey look, Tek is moving is left arm again” but it did not look like it was too much of a wound so it’s probably just that he got used to the pain.
Actually, you were too subtle with the purple shading for Mathew for me. I didn’t notice it until I read your author’s note and looked for it.
Not what I meant at all. Having suffered traumatic nerve damage in a limb I can say that motion may not return that fast. In fact it may not return at all. This is not a dig at the artist or the writer as super heroes do not follow the normal rules of reality but my comment was to point out that tek did get his arm back a bit fast.
I hope TekSupport doesn’t turn out to be a jerk and Matthew goes off to find his real dad and become Bruiser’s sidekick or something depressing like that. I mean, TekSupport’s been married to Lauren for 12 years and raised Matthew, he clearly cares about them, can’t they still be a family and stick together, even after something like this? Matthew didn’t transform to save himself, he transformed to save his “dad” – this family may not be perfect, but it’s not broken. Please don’t break it up!
