The tale of Clue Boy and the Dark Detective is one of those stories I’m looking forward to telling some time in the future. It won’t be the story immediately following this one, but it’s on the schedule.
Stay tuned. Same Bat Time, Same Bat Station….
Looking forward to it. That story ought to explain a lot about Tinker.
I so knew it but I love it all the same!
Wait so Tinker was not only Clue Boy, but he was a hero? … That or I just read the strip wrong…
I would not advise trying to pawn that shirt on Pawn Stars. They will call in an expert and he will question why the autograph is so fresh and recent. It will ruin whatever collector value it has now. Okay, never mind, I’m going back under my rock now.
When I was writing the dialog for this section I actually had a whole sequence composed about how the collector was going to have Tinker use a special pen and then put the whole thing through a special “aging” process, etc., just because I was worried about this very question. Of course, the whole story dragged to a halt, so I took It all out and just had the Collector declare that he would “cover his tracks” and have Tinker accept that he knew what he was doing, and that it would work out OK.
I so knew he was once a hero, you could just tell, once a hero always a hero, you just can’t help it once you’ve been there.
Wait…so Tinker was Clue Boy?
Well, okay then.
Woah. You’re good at this storyline thing.
