This page’s art, I gotta say, the rough style is getting the proper polish, as it were. I’m seriously digging the art now! Also, he seems to have a pathological fear of being seen as a hero…. I think we might be about to get some backstory!
Then again, maybe Tinker just equates a hero (or superhero) as someone stupid and gullible–qualities he despises. I also thought it was rather ironic that he asked if Mighty Man was boasting about being tough and smart since those were a couple of the qualities Tinker and his team presented to Vixx when they first met her. (And don’t goons and henchmen get punched, too?)
Maybe Tinker as a child or a young adolescent had a bad run in with a “SUPER HERO” who may have been a serious a*****e, after all, not all heroes are perfect. This could explain as to why he does not offer his services to the “good guys” and instead hire out his talents to the highest bidding villain.Or maybe he just like money and adventure, being that crime-if you know when to bail out-does pay large (although illicit) dividends, while being a hero will only get you a pat on the back, a plaque of recognition or a street named after you and maybe even a bronze statue in the public park–all of which does not equate to paying the bills on time. As for adventure, Tinker and the gang will get it every time they pull a “job” with their Boss, so in Tinker’s logic, its a win-win situation. The trick of course is never getting caught by the law!

Mighty Man: “With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to this city.”
Tinker: “I’ll never join you!“
I expect we’ll know the reasons of the hero hate pretty soon.
