With all the water filling the street, the Henchmen were lucky that they were still (unknown to them) under VIXX’s protection when the lightning struck,. Apparently she forgot or just didn’t bother to turn it off…. All the heroes in the immediate area may not have been quite so fortunate. And of course Mrs. Field was much too close….

Her mother might survive, people have gotten struck by lightning and lived, but this is more of a supernatural version of it, and if it can KO Mighty Man must pack quite a punch. (Since it is said he can go through a Atom Bomb blast and not be harmed).
Off-Topic: Yes I know it’s her mother she is important, but all in all she is an average everyday civilian. So taking such a horrific bolt of lightning cannot be good for any non-super unless your like the henchmen under Vixx’s protection.

Yes there is actually a club of people that have survived being hit by lightning. In fact one forest ranger is in the Guinness Book of World’s Records for having survived the most lightning strikes of anyone in known history. Eleven the last time I looked. In an interview once he said her carries a bucket of water around in his car to put his hair out when it happens.
I collect stories of an unusual nature like this. I have a story of two young women walking down the street that appeared in the newspaper once. They were struck by lightning and the only thing they were left wearing were their shoes. Another man was struck by lightning once and not only did it cure his blindness but his hair started growing again. The worst has to be one man that was hit by lightning and it paralyzed him on one side. Several years later he’s struck again and it freed up the one side but paralyzed the other. when he’s hit a third time a couple years after that he’s left completely paralyzed. Shortly after that he died but it wasn’t too many years later that lightning shattered his headstone. So many different stories of people being struck by lightning and surviving but the usual result is death.
