That would be my guess too… but that seems odd with the theory that the Dark Detective had to be forced to retire because he went too hard on villains.
AceofSpade, given how we’ve seen multiple heroes behave, her being a former villain in no way contradicts the theory that the Dark Detective was forced into retirement because he was too hard on villains. Maybe she reformed before that point. Maybe she was the flirtatious foe, was hurt by some OTHER villain, and the Dark Detective lost it on that OTHER villain. Maybe the theory presented in the earlier comic isn’t 100% true; it could even be another HERO is the one whom Dark Detective injured (just substitute him in for the “OTHER villain” in the above scenario).
I’m guessing former supervillain.

During roid rage, can’t be bothered to look it up again.

The surprise and reaction upon hearing he was SENT does seem to tell us she was half-expecting him to be spanking random passerby…
That was my first thought too after reading this page. 8^D

In fairness, it could just be that she thought he was being too hard on a random street thug. >_>
