Superheroes seem to have to be good liars,,, when explaining the unexplainable.
I’d imagine the ability to maintain a Secret ID requires that. But Tek Support isn’t lying in this case. He’s merely leaving out details and it’s not his fault if the detective assumes he’s lying instead of considering that possibility. I mean shoot! How much more obvious of a truth does “I’m a superhero. I get involved. It’s what we do?” need to be. What the detective really needs to be asking is “Fair enough, but what was it that involved you in *this* particular case?”.
Mind you, I’d be interested in hearing his answer to Tek Support’s question, “So what *do* you believe?” as well. o_O
