A busted-up hero held together by squirrels wasn’t going to last that long anyhow….
If you haven’t checked it out yet, the Henchmen for Hire Special #1 with two original short stories is available as a downloadable PDF for only 99 cents. Click on the link over on the right side of the page to get your copy!
Achilles went all squirrely? Must have been using those darn microsoft upgrades.
OK, now park a bulldozer on Bruiser.
Whatever it is you’re planning, don’t tell her. Just do it.
Too many witnesses and you can’t claim self-defense. Let it go!
Oh, well, in that case let’s just wait for Bruiser to rise up from the ground, furious and determined to finish what he started. Then he can shoot, reload and shoot some more. I only hope Bruiser doesn’t manage to kill anybody before that happens.
The family drama is going to have that effect anyway. Best to restrain him while he’s out and then disappear. Leave the henchmen behind to keep him restrained. Risky business, but he did hire them to do more then just stand around and be spectators. >_>:
Actually though, now that I think on it, your plan might not be a bad one. Have Tinker pull the family back to safety which eliminates 3 witnesses and gets the family drama out of the way. then have Evers and Chance put the restraints on them and “hope they last”. Then once Bruiser breaks those restraints anyway he’s got their backup and their witnessing that he really had no choice but to put Bruiser away. Then collect whatever experience points Bruiser might be worth. (And yes, I’m probably thinking too much like a D&D player and not enough like a Champions player on this one! ^_^;).
That said, I might be jumping to the wrong conclusion about what is going on here. Given that Tek Support’s buddy was a nanotechnician it’s possible that Tek Support arranged to have some nanites with Bruiser’s DNA on them be prepared to render Bruiser a normal human or something else relatively harmless. That would be the traditional Silver Age solution to a problem like this and quite clearly they do have the tech to support such solutions. @_@
